ANSWERS TO

YOUR QUESTIONS

Rafting trips generally run rain or shine. Weather conditions can change quickly in Colorado, so we recommend coming prepared for the conditions on the day of your trip. If severe weather creates unsafe conditions, A Wanderlust Adventure will make the appropriate decision regarding the trip.
Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind getting wet. Quick-drying shorts and a quick-drying shirt are recommended, and cotton should be avoided. Wear secure footwear that will stay on your feet during the trip. Flip-flops and Crocs are not recommended. You should also bring sunscreen, a refillable water bottle, and a change of clothes for afterward.
We recommend leaving valuable electronics and other items that could be damaged by water in your vehicle. If you do bring a phone or camera, it should be securely protected against water and attached to you so it cannot become a safety hazard or be lost in the river. A Wanderlust Adventure cannot be responsible for personal items that are lost or damaged during the trip.
No. Swimming is not required for the Taste of Whitewater trip. However, guests should be comfortable around water, and everyone will be required to wear a properly fitted personal flotation device throughout the rafting trip. The Blast of Whitewater trip is more physically demanding, and greater comfort in the water is recommended.
The difficulty depends on the trip you choose. Taste of Whitewater is designed as a more accessible introduction to whitewater rafting, while Blast of Whitewater is a more challenging trip with more demanding rapids and requires more continuous paddling. Your guide will provide safety instructions and teach you what you need to know before getting on the river.
