QUESTIONS

The Blast of Whitewater is our more challenging rafting experience, featuring continuous Class III–IV whitewater on the Poudre River. It is designed for guests looking for a more intense and action-packed rafting adventure. You don't need previous rafting experience, but you should be comfortable with a more physically demanding trip.
No. Previous rafting experience is not required. Your guide will provide safety instructions and teach you the paddling techniques you need before and during the trip. However, guests should be comfortable following instructions and actively paddling throughout the adventure.
The Blast of Whitewater requires more continuous paddling than our Taste of Whitewater trip. You'll be actively involved in paddling through Class III–IV rapids, so you should be in good enough physical condition to paddle and participate throughout the trip. If you're looking for a more relaxed introduction to rafting, the Taste of Whitewater may be a better fit.
The Blast of Whitewater features Class III–IV rapids. These rapids provide bigger waves, more technical sections, and more continuous action than you'll experience on our Taste of Whitewater trip. Your experienced guide will lead the raft and provide instructions to help your group navigate the river safely.
The biggest difference is the intensity of the whitewater. The Taste of Whitewater offers an exciting introduction to rafting and is accessible to a wider range of guests, while the Blast features more continuous Class III–IV rapids and requires more paddling. Choose the Blast if you're looking for a bigger, more physically demanding whitewater adventure.
Yes. You do not need previous rafting experience to participate in the Blast. Every trip begins with safety instruction, and you'll be accompanied by an experienced guide throughout the adventure. However, the Blast is a more demanding trip, so guests should be comfortable around water, able to follow their guide's instructions, and prepared for continuous paddling and challenging whitewater.
